Уъркшоп на Уолтън Уилсън, Даниела Варон и Кристиана Нелсън

Фондация „За Родопите“ и Драматичен театър „Н. О. Масалитинов“ – Пловдив организират уъркшоп по съмременни американски техники с трима изявени американски театрални артисти на 21 октомври, събота от 14 до 17.30 ч в Камерна зала на театъра.
Уолтън Уилсън е ръководител на актьорската програма в най-престижния американски университет за театрално образование в Йейл. Даниела Варон е режисьор и актриса в „Шекспир енд Къмпани“. Кристиана Нелсън е изявена актриса от Ню Йорк с многобройни роли в разнообразни театрални и телевизионни проекти.
Уъркшопът е предназначен за професионални актьори и студенти по актьорско майсторство и се фокусира върху тънкостите на актьорската професия – подготовка за ролята, работа върху текст, изграждане на интересно сценично присъствие.

Събитието се подпомага от Американското посолство в София и е безплатно за участниците.

Walton Wilson serves as Chair of the Acting Department and Head of Voice and Speech at the Yale School of Drama. He was trained as a voice teacher by Kristin Linklater and Catherine Fitzmaurice; he also studied with Richard Armstrong, Andrea Haring, Patsy Rodenburg, and Meredith Monk. In previous visits to Bulgaria, he led workshops at Sfumato Theatre Laboratory (with Daniela Varon) and New Bulgarian University, and taught classes at National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. As an actor, he has appeared in productions Off-Broadway and in regional theatres across the United States.

Daniela Varon is a New York-based director and acting teacher and a longtime member of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. She visited Bulgaria with the Drama League’s first delegation of American directors in 2010, and was honored to participate and teach in a training exchange between Sfumato Theatre Laboratory and Shakespeare & Company 2011-2013. Her work, including Shakespeare, modern classics, contemporary and new plays, has been seen at some forty theater companies around the United States. She has taught and guest-directed at universities including Barnard, Bennington, Columbia, Dartmouth, Emerson, and Smith, among others, and has been a Shakespeare specialist with Lincoln Center Theater. She was co-founder with Kristin Linklater of The Company of Women, and a founding faculty member of The Linklater Center for Voice and Language. She is a Drama League Fellow, a member of New York Theater Workshop, and an alumna of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab.

Christianna Nelson is a New York City based actor and graduate of the Yale School of Drama and Harvard University. Christianna has performed in numerous plays and devised works in New York City, regionally and internationally. She played Shakespeare's daughter in the Off-Broadway premiere of The Last Will by Robert Brustein, and performed in this production at the inaugural Wuzhen Theatre Festival in China in 2013. She worked with the late Ruth Maleczech on her last piece, Imagining the Imaginary Invalid. The play, a joint production of Mabou Mines and Tricksaddle starring Marylouise Burke, premiered at LaMaMa in the Ellen Stewart Theatre in January 2016 and was a NY Times Critics Pick.
